1.About us & these terms+
You're entering into an agreement with Go Lucky Free Range CC (registration number 2007/157032/23), trading as Go Lucky and Go Lucky Eggspress, with its registered office at 2 Valley Road, Hout Bay, Cape Town, 7806, South Africa (referred to below as "Go Lucky", "we", "us" or "our").
By subscribing to our home-delivery service, paying for a delivery, or using our website at home.golucky.co.za or orders.golucky.co.za, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
These terms must be read together with our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
2.What we deliver+
Go Lucky supplies free-range chicken eggs — produced on our farms and packed within three days of the lay date — to homes and small businesses in the Greater Cape Town area.
We offer the eggs in trays and multi-packs (6, 12, 18, or 30 units), in standard, large, or extra-large grades depending on availability on the day. We may substitute grade where supply requires it — the unit count you ordered will always be honoured.
3.Subscriptions & cadence+
You choose how often you want a drop — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly — and the quantity per drop. Your subscription continues on that cadence until you cancel.
You can change cadence, quantity, or your delivery address at any time by WhatsApping us on 081 465 8259. Changes take effect from the next scheduled drop, provided we receive them at least 24 hours before that drop.
4.Pricing & payment (PayFast)+
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are shown on the subscribe page at the point you sign up. We may adjust prices from time to time and will notify you in writing (email or WhatsApp) at least 14 days before a price change takes effect on your subscription.
Payments are processed by our payment provider PayFast (a Network Group company) — not directly by us. We do not see or store your full card number; PayFast tokenises your card so we can charge your scheduled drops automatically.
For recurring subscriptions, you authorise us to charge the saved payment method for each scheduled drop on or shortly before its dispatch date. If a charge fails, we'll attempt to contact you and may pause future drops until it's resolved.
5.Delivery+
Delivery area. Our distribution centre is in Hout Bay. We deliver across the Greater Cape Town metro, with delivery fees scaled by distance from our DC. The exact fee for your address is shown on the subscribe page once you enter it — before you commit to a payment method — so there are no surprises at checkout.
Delivery fees. Suburbs inside our home zone (closest to our Hout Bay DC) get free delivery on every drop. Suburbs further out carry a per-drop delivery fee, charged together with the eggs on the same PayFast schedule as your subscription. Family and Bulk subscribers absorb the fee comfortably across a larger basket; smaller-tier subscribers in outer suburbs can lower their per-drop cost by switching to a bigger pack or a monthly cadence. We may adjust delivery fee bands from time to time as our routes and costs change, with the same 14-day notice that applies to other price changes.
Outside our route. If your address is outside our current delivery footprint, the subscribe page will offer to add you to a waitlist instead of taking payment. We'll WhatsApp you when we open up your suburb.
Schedule. Drops happen on weekdays. We'll WhatsApp you the day before with an expected window. Exact times can vary with traffic and route order.
Access. Eggs are perishable. If nobody is home, our driver will leave the drop in a safe, shaded spot at your gate or door — or with security if applicable. Please send us your gate code or access notes when you subscribe.
Missed drops. If you'll be away, let us know via WhatsApp at least 24 hours before the drop to skip or reschedule. Skipped drops are not charged.
Inability to deliver. If we can't deliver because of access issues, an incorrect address, or nobody available to receive the eggs (and you didn't tell us to skip), the drop counts as delivered and is not refundable.
6.Quality, freshness & food safety+
Our eggs leave the farm within three days of the lay date and reach you fresh. Once delivered, please refrigerate within a few hours of receipt.
If any egg arrives broken, cracked, leaking, or shows signs of spoilage, follow the steps in our Refund Policy — we'll replace or refund.
7.Cancellation+
You can cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee. WhatsApp us on 081 465 8259 or email hello@golucky.co.za.
If we receive your cancellation at least 24 hours before the next scheduled drop, that drop will be cancelled and not charged. If we receive it after the drop has been dispatched, you'll receive that drop and no further charges will apply.
You don't need to give a reason. We won't ask why — though we'd love to know if there's something we could do better.
8.Refunds & replacements+
Details of how refunds and replacements work are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. In summary: report damaged or missing eggs via WhatsApp within 24 hours of delivery and we'll replace them on the next drop or refund the affected portion to your original payment method.
9.Your responsibilities+
- Give us an accurate delivery address, contact number, and access details (gate code, complex notes, dog warnings).
- Keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you about your drops.
- Refrigerate eggs soon after delivery and store at or below 7°C.
- Use the eggs by the best-before date printed on the carton.
- Ensure the payment method on file is valid; tell us if your card is replaced or cancelled.
10.Limitation of liability+
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law — including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA), which gives you certain non-excludable rights — our total liability for any single claim arising out of these terms is limited to the value of the affected drop or, where the issue spans more than one drop, the value of the affected drops in the 30 days preceding the claim.
We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses (such as lost profits or loss of business). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the CPA, including liability for goods that are not safe, of good quality, or fit for purpose.
11.Your data (POPIA)+
We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
The information we collect: your name, delivery address, contact number, email, delivery preferences, and a tokenised reference to your payment method held by PayFast.
We use it to operate your subscription — route the driver, contact you about drops, process payments, and resolve issues. We don't sell your information to third parties. We share it only with the providers we need to run the service (PayFast for payments, our delivery and accounting systems) and with regulators if legally required.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time. Email hello@golucky.co.za with your request.
12.Changes to these terms+
We may update these terms from time to time — for example to reflect new products or legal changes. The current version, with its "last updated" date, will always be at this URL. Material changes that affect your subscription will be communicated by email or WhatsApp at least 14 days before they take effect.
13.Governing law & disputes+
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of South Africa have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — almost everything can be resolved with a WhatsApp message. If we can't sort it out together, you have the right to refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or any other competent forum.
